Caló des Moro

Aug. 19, 2019

What could be nicer than a relaxing holiday on your own boat? Just for you, your friends and family and to explore the beauty of the Balearic Islands. Sail over the calm sea in bright sunshine, set your own course, jump spontaneously into the water, sunbathe on deck and enjoy spectacular sunsets. Chartering your own yacht sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

If you are chartering a private yacht in Majorca, you should not miss the following bay: The Caló des Moro.

White sand, azure blue water and a completely untouched nature make the Caló des Moro probably the biggest treasure of the island. You'll have to look twice to make sure you still feel Majorcan and no Caribbean ground under your feet. But the best thing is its unique location, because it is located in the middle of a steep coast and is impressively framed by it.

The crystal clear water, which is open after winds from east-southeast, has a sandy bottom that is very good for anchoring. The depth near the shore varies between three and four metres. The nearest port facilities are two nautical miles away, Port de Cala Figuera of Santanyí.

Right next to the small bay is the Cala s´Almunia, a rocky playa with some former fishing cottages. This one is definitely worth a visit!

The next bigger town near the Caló des Moro is Santanyí. Art galleries, picturesque alleys, many small boutiques and excellent restaurants await you in the heart of nature, the perfect place for us to end the yacht day.
