Es Trenc

July 15, 2019

When cloud mountains tower over Majorca, the southern tip of Majorca is often uncovered. And that's a good thing, because here you will find some of the most beautiful anchor bays and sandy beaches of the Balearic Islands. The most beautiful of them is probably Es Trenc, which is known far beyond the island's borders and is one of the most popular sandy beaches in the Balearic Islands.

On this beach you can experience Caribbean flair during your yacht vacation in Majorca, because here you will find fine white sand and turquoise, crystal clear water. As the beach is located in the middle of a nature reserve, there are no hotels, which makes Playa de Es Trenc an almost untouched and natural beauty. The beach is also surrounded by extensive dunes, salt fields and pine forests, which give Playa a very special and idyllic charm.

The beach stretches between the towns of Sa Rápita and Colónia de Sant Jordi and, with its 6 kilometres, is not only one of the most beautiful but also one of the longest beaches in Majorca.

A very special highlight are the sunsets at Es Trenc, which are among the most beautiful of the whole island. The shallow water on the shore reflects the sun in a magical way and the gentle sunrays bathe the dune landscape in warm light. A unique natural panorama, which can be enjoyed particularly beautifully from your own yacht.

It can be anchored about 250 metres from the shore at a depth of 5 metres on a sandy bottom. If the weather is bad, you should keep your distance from the beach, as undetectable shallows can occur. The nearest port facilities are located 3 nautical miles away in Colònia de Sant Jordi.

Finally, we can recommend a visit to the nearby small fishing village of Sa Rápita. There are markets, shops and many restaurants where you can enjoy delicious fish and seafood dishes.
